The 50S3 Malleo Sprint is a new kind of orthosis featuring an innovative design and excellent biomechanical characteristics.
With its special plastic exoskeleton and strap guide, it stabilizes the ankle in case of chronic ligament instability - with or without a shoe.
Eversion and inversion of the foot are restricted without negatively affecting plantar and dorsal flexion.

The special reinforcing elements in the exoskeleton of the Malleo Sprint are connected directly to the textile base material.
Thanks to this design, the orthosis optimally adapts to the anatomical shape of the body and ensures targeted, stable support with restricted movement when it is closed.

The mechanically stabilizing and neuromuscular effects of the Malleo Sprint were tested against the standard Aircast orthosis, which is established in the market and was thoroughly tested beforehand.
These studies have revealed that the Malleo Sprint orthosis is identical to the standard orthosis in regards to ankle stabilization, but demonstrates significantly greater subjective acceptance among the test subjects.
The test subjects indicated that the Malleo Sprint is much less restrictive during walking and reactive jumping.

The high level of wearer comfort is achieved through the use of SpaceTex®, a special 3D spacer fabric.
Breathable SpaceTex® provides excellent cushioning in addition to transporting heat and moisture away from the body.
Wearer comfort is also assured by the anatomical curvature in the area of the malleoli.
Pressure points are avoided by the thinning of the base material underneath the foot and by extremely comfortable padding.
